MANGO BAY BARBADOS OFFERING UP TO 30% OFF BOOKINGS DURING GOVERNMENT BEACH RESTORATION PROJECT

HOLETOWN, Barbados (June 19, 2014) – Barbados’ all-inclusive Mango Bay Hotel (www.MangoBayBarbados.com), which recently earned a “Certificate of Excellence” from TripAdvisor, is offering travelers 35% off nightly rates on all direct bookings for travel from Aug. 23 – Oct. 21, 2014, during the period of time when the government of Barbados will be implementing the Holetown Waterfront Improvement Project to restore the beach just north of the property and prevent erosion along the West Coast of the island.

“Although the government’s next beach restoration project will not take place on the beach at Mango Bay, we do want to extend a courtesy to guests by offering them a significant discount on accommodations during this time when there may be disruptions from construction noise and machinery in sight,” said Peter Odle, chairman of the Mango Bay Hotel Group. “This is the perfect opportunity for travelers to visit Barbados and experience our award-winning tropical hotel, the many amenities that are included and the superior customer service on which we pride ourselves.”

Heavy equipment may be visible to guests at Mango Bay at times throughout the Holetown Waterfront Improvement Project, although visitors can be assured that they will have full access to the beach that is directly in front of the hotel. Mango Bay staff will monitor the situation closely as it unfolds and, if necessary, will offer an alternative beach option on select days for guests who may wish to move away from the work. On those days, lunch, drinks and watersports as per the property’s all-inclusive package will be provided.

Mango Bay Hotel will be closing from Sept. 15 – 30, 2014, during the most intrusive part of the project.

“We are very much looking forward to the end of the project and to be able to continue to offer our guests a beautiful enhanced beach and bay,” said Odle. “We are confident that guests will still be able to enjoy Mango Bay and its facilities this summer and we are all very excited to see and experience the new beach when this project is complete. Our dedicated team will do everything possible to minimize inconvenience and disruption to our guests during this time,” he added.

Guests of Mango Bay can now relax and play on a newly expanded and upgraded beach directly in front of the property, after the culmination of a previous phase of the Holetown Waterfront Improvement Project in 2013.

GRENADA (May 28, 2014) – No stranger to prestigious accolades, Grenada’s premier all-inclusive luxury retreat, Spice Island Beach Resort (www.SpiceIslandBeachResort.com), has been bestowed the coveted Six Star Diamond Award by the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences (AAHS).
At a gala event last evening, May 27, 2014, with over 200 attendees including the resorts’ guests, Chairman and Managing Director, Sir Royston Hopkin KCMG, was on hand to receive the award. In attendance were the island’s Governor General, Prime Minister, government ministers, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives from the business community, Karen Lynn Dixon, international general manager of AAHS, and the resort’s staff members.
Before presenting the award, Joseph Cinque, president and CEO of AAHS, told the gathering how much he has fallen in love with Grenada and Spice Island Beach Resort and noted that not only would he like to return but he knows many persons who would just love Grenada as well as the service and luxury of the resort. He then presented the Six Star Diamond award to Sir Royston which was greeted by a resounding applause from all guests and the celebrations almost immediately began.
